Mifuyu is a Japanese author and a pioneer of digital nomad in Japan who published number of books whilst travelling all over the world with only a laptop and a smart phone.

 

Her activities are now expanding more and more globally – her latest books called ‘Knowing’ and ‘Tsunagaranai Renshu (Practice to be free from Social Media)’ have been translated and published in South Korea and Taiwan as well.

 

She has appeared in various advertisements for major brands such as KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, SK-II, Intel, etc., and been featured in top TV documentaries in Japan – ‘Jounetsu-Tairiku (Continent of Passion) ’ and ‘NHK Special’ – for her unique nomadic life and career.

 

Born and raised in Tokyo, she then completed her undergraduate studies at the prestigious Keio University which sent her to Amsterdam University as a part of exchange programme in early 2000s.
There, she was deeply inspired by the diversity in both work and life styles in Europe before joining Shueisha Inc. – the largest publishing company in Japan.

 

Mifuyu eventually started up her own business after 7 years’ work in Shueisha to pursue her passion as a pioneer of the new way of working, and continues to be an iconic presence among the working ladies in Japan.
